This year, in my ongoing effort at sustainable green living, I planted a squash plant in my herb garden. I also planted a tomato plant and a jalapeno plant, but those have not yet produced a “crop”. Tonight we enjoyed a healthy summer squash casserole made from my first harvest.
Well, look at you! That’s fantastic! We have a tomato plant this year, too, put I don’t think it’s going to produce anything. Remember that day when you bought tomato cages and I said, “I’d better wait until we get home”? I should’ve bought one then. My poor plant needs support.
Remind me sometime after we’ve moved and unpacked that I want to loan “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” to you (unless you’ve already read it).
I have not read it….yet. So, I would love to borrow it. The squash made a lovely casserole.
